I recently started using Boost and the language binding mechanism one finds in the unit testing framework and python library seems well applicable elsewhere. In particular I do a lot of work that is exposed through microsoft excel and in particular use the excel 4 API (i.e. XLOPER containers and friends). While it is clear that the same concepts would be applicable here I am unfortunately not talented enough or have the time to try it myself and was wondering if anyone has looked into this.
